The Department of Radiology at the University of Michigan is now accepting applications for 3 positions in our Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship starting July 2022. Interviews will take place after December 1st, 2020 and offers will be made before March 1st, 2021.
The University of Michigan Cardiothoracic Imaging fellowship is a comprehensive multimodality training program that includes extensive experience in Cardiovascular/Thoracic CT, Cardiac MRI (Adult and pediatric), Cross-Sectional procedures (biopsy, pleural drains) and Chest radiography. Fellows enjoy one-on-one teaching with subspecialized faculty throughout the year, with graduated responsibility enabling their smooth transition to independent practice. Our graduates have pursued successful careers in private practice and academia all over the country.
Fellows are encouraged to tailor their training to their needs and interests. This could translate into a traditional Cardiothoracic imaging fellowship with opportunities for electives in other specialties. As we continually expand our services, fellows play an integral part in developing and maintaining the quality of care we provide. Additional educational resources include a weekly conference specifically for fellows, clinical elective time, optional participation in research, access to the entire residency lecture curriculum, and involvement in several weekly multidisciplinary conferences facilitated by cardiothoracic radiologists. Our graduates are well-rounded subspecialists who can function efficiently across multiple modalities yet have a deep understanding of disease processes and their treatment, allowing them to meaningfully contribute to patient care.
