The Department of Radiology at Keck School of Medicine of USC is recruiting a full-time, fellowship-trained radiologist to join the Cardiothoracic Section within the Body Imaging Division. The candidate will be given a faculty appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level commensurate with their experience/qualifications. Applicants must be ABR

The cardiothoracic section is composed of six faculty members with a variety of expertise. The section has strong relationships with the various clinical divisions at the Keck Medical Center of USC, including Pulmonary and Critical Care, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Thoracic Oncology, and Radiation Oncology.
The Department seeks individuals with a variety of skills and experience. The applicant should have experience in conventional radiography, CT, MR, and thoracic interventional procedures. CT and MR imaging includes cardiac and vascular imaging. Thoracic interventions include transthoracic biopsies, microcoil localizations, and drainage catheter placements, as well as lung ablations for those with interest/expertise. In addition, the department has an active, grantfunded, lung cancer screening program.
The faculty member will work at the Keck Hospital of USC, Los Angeles County USC (LAC+USC) Medical Center, and Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. A major strength of the position is the rich clinical experience derived from the tremendous variety in pathology and patient population throughout all the sites, which are conveniently located on a single medical campus adjacent to downtown Los Angeles.
There are extensive opportunities for research and other scholarly activities, both within the department and with other departments. The department has a dedicated research division with ancillary support for preparing and submitting grants and IRBs. Significant teaching opportunities are available with a large training program of 42 residents and 15 fellows.
State-of-the-art equipment includes a Toshiba Aquilion One CT scanner, Toshiba 64-slice CT scanners, Phillips 64-slice CT scanner, GE 3T MRI, and Siemens 1.5T and 3T MRI scanners. Fuji Synapse PACS workstations are employed throughout the department, and Vitrea 3-D workstations are also present at all sites for advanced post-processing.
