Progressive Physician Associates (PPA), is a large interdisciplinary private practice group of over 100 providers that includes Diagnostic Radiologists, Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons and Advanced Practitioners that is the exclusive provider of these services for St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN).
PPA is seeking a full-time fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Radiologist to serve as the core faculty member for the Cardiothoracic Section. The candidate will create the curriculum for cardiothoracic education for the new radiology residency program, expected to begin in 2023 and will participate in the program evaluation and clinical competence committees with dedicated administrative time.
The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to building a strong academic career with excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. The candidate will provide outstanding teaching to medical students, residents, and clinical fellows, focused on thoracic and cardiovascular imaging. Clinical duties will include all aspects of cardiovascular and thoracic radiology including cardiovascular MRI and CT, chest CT including lung cancer screening and chest radiography. In addition, the candidate will work closely with PPA’s Interventional Radiologists and Vascular Surgeons that perform TAVRS biopsies and other vascular procedures.
In addition to fellowship training in cardiothoracic imaging, applicants should have 3 years of academic experience and interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, with participation in tumor board and interstitial lung disease conferences.
Candidates must be board certified and licensed or eligible for full licensure in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
SLUHN, a growing regional/tertiary network of 13 hospitals and numerous clinics and imaging centers, is affiliated with Temple University School of Medicine at which the candidate will receive an adjunct appointment. SLHUN has five trauma centers in the greater Lehigh Valley, including its Bethlehem Campus Level I center. St. Luke’s Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Township has recently earned Level II trauma accreditation.
