Chest Imaging Radiologists – The University of Chicago
Position Description
The University of Chicago’s Department of Radiology is expanding and searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will have responsibilities in cardiopulmonary radiology including conventional radiographs with a full complement of advanced imaging including CT and MRI. Involvement in a variety of multidisciplinary conferences is expected. Other duties include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
The University of Chicago Medicine cares for the full gamut of cardiac and pulmonary patients; it is a level 1 trauma center, has a lung cancer screening service, is part of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Care Center Network, and actively participates in clinical trials.
Faculty members have dedicated academic time with many opportunities available to develop research interests in collaboration with our strong basic science group as well as other clinical and basic science departments throughout the University. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Radiology, and 4) have completed a cardiopulmonary imaging fellowship or similar training.
